I'm recording the thermal radiation from the monopole using a gamma-ray spectrometer, and using some graphical post-processing software to reconstruct an image of the created universe from the thermal radiation:
Look at that!....Me God, it's beautiful!
Hello,...what's this?
Oh shit.
Universe creation
I 'go away' for a couple days (to do some work)and look what I miss. Typical. This sounds like it was very exciting. I just hope you don't have too much trouble clearing up the mess from your living room carpet.
ReplyDeleteIt will be slightly embarrassing, Clare, when I fill in the home-insurance claim form.
ReplyDeleteI would like to take this opportunity to thank the brave and skilled members of my local fire brigade for dousing the blaze so expeditiously, and I'd also like to thank the staff at my local hospital for tending my burns with such care and consideration, at such a late hour.
Congratulations on the successful birth, Gordon. You must be very proud. Have you thought of a name yet?
ReplyDeleteUm, well, you see the thing is, Andrew, it did explode on me shortly after creation. I think I must've chosen the wrong theory of gravity.
ReplyDeleteCondolences on the death, Gordon. i thought the pictures were too beautiful to be of something so catastrophic. I really couldn't have been more inopportune, could I? Noone said creating universes was gonna be easy, I suppose. Otherwise we'd all be at it. At least you lived to tell the tale. You can always brag, @I am become Death, th destroyer of worlds.
ReplyDeleteOne wonders on the dosage of exotic high-energy particles and dark matter strewn about the neighborhood. If the cats begin to mutate, or the mice develop a society and demand equal rights, beware.
ReplyDeletePesky, those exotic particles.
