Transistors and grains of rice

Some more numbers: Whilst there are 10¹¹ stars in the Milky Way galaxy, 10¹⁴ cells in the human body, 10¹⁵ grains of rice produced annually worldwide, and 10¹⁷ ants on planet Earth, it seems that the annual world production of transistors exceeds all these figures, at 10 quintillion, 10¹⁹. Not only that, but the cost of producing each transistor is about one-hundreth of the cost of producing each grain of rice!
